Fascism: Trump calls Michigan Republicans to overturn Joe Biden's victory

The Post reports that the Michigan delegation will be led by Eternal State Senator Mike Shirkey. There is absolutely no chance Trump can overcome an electoral deficit of nearly 150,000 people in the state; In today's grotesque press conference, Rudy Giuliani suggested that the path to Trump's "victory" would be to declare that the Detroit vote results should be discarded. Trump will certainly ask his Republican petitioners in Michigan that the state do just that.

Even if Michigan's election falls into turmoil, Trump will not win more votes than Joe Biden. He would need a second republican state to throw off Biden's victory. The real Republican plan they telegraphed prior to the election is to void the election results for unspecified, bogus "fraud" and submit them to the House and Senate to declare a winner. With the Senate full of Republicans who have almost unanimously voted to overturn Trump's own criminal offenses, it is clear that this body will do whatever Trump tells them to do. The house won't.

We are now in the fascist moment that experts have warned about: the movement's test to see if democracy can be overthrown on its own, based on its own propaganda and commitment to power. From that point on, Republican lawmakers will no longer step forward to demand that Trump adhere to the clear election results. They are still waiting for Trump to give in.

They are also waiting to see if Trump can actually offer them a way to declare him the "real" winner. Neither of them has proven that they would not go that far if Trump's most devoted fascists gave them the opportunity. If they weren't ready to go that far for Trump, they would have already said it.
