MP Ilhan Omar blamed President Trump for "criminal neglect" because her father died tragically due to the coronavirus.
Omar (D-MN) made the harsh allegations during a conversation with MSNBC.
"My father and over 300,000 people lost their lives to Covid because Trump and his administration neglected him in a dangerous criminal manner," she said.
Only Omar Mohamed died in June due to "complications from Covid-19".
"No words can describe what he meant to me and everyone who knew and loved him," wrote the congresswoman when she announced his death at the time.

Omar also appeared to be suggesting that the President and / or members of his administration be "prosecuted" for these deaths, citing a memo released earlier this week by the House majority whip, Jim Clyburn.

Clyburn (D-SC) released the memo to the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, alleging that the Trump administration "intervened politically" in its pandemic response.
"The documents released today underscore the need for HHS to end obstruction of the selected subcommittee's investigation into the political interference that has hampered the nation's response to this deadly virus," Clyburn said in a statement.
"If the government does not give up this obvious obstacle, I will be forced to issue subpoenas," he threatened.
Omar doesn't think that's going to be enough.
"I agree with Clyburn that just issuing subpoenas is not enough. We need to investigate and prosecute those people responsible for these reckless deaths," she said.
It is significant that. @ IlhanMN has no harsh words for China's double communist government, which lied to the world about the Wuhan flu and "disappeared" courageous whistleblower scientists and doctors who tried to warn the world. https://t.co/yUI26rCI44

Omar's response to the pandemic
Omar was criticized back in March for forcing all private hospitals to become public in response to the pandemic crisis.
"Here's perhaps a radical idea to deal with the pressures our healthcare system is facing," she tweeted. "All private hospitals should be released for the duration of the virus."

She also called for government action during the crisis to include the repayment of all student loan debt. Which of course has nothing to do with the virus.
Over the same period, Omar shockingly praised President Trump for some economic policy measures in response to the pandemic, which she described as "incredible and the right response at this critical time".
"Unprecedented times require unparalleled leadership, and that is what we are seeing in our country right now," she added.
. @AyannaPressley always says unprecedented times require unparalleled leadership and this is what we are seeing in our country right now. I believe we will survive this as a nation and build it together.

Nine months later, Ilhan Omar accused the same man of being responsible for her father's death.
