President Trump's message to America places "Christ" again in "Christmas"

President Donald Trump delivered a message to the White House about the true meaning of Christmas as this insane year comes to an end.

With First Lady Melania Trump by his side, President Trump explained why Christians celebrate Christmas.

Trump: "This is a joyful time for Christians to remember God's greatest gift to the world."

"For every family in our nation, the First Lady and I would like to wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas," Trump said.

"This is a joyful time for Christians to remember God's greatest gift to the world," he continued.

“More than 2,000 years ago the angel Gabriel appeared to Maria. He said, "Don't be afraid, you have favor with God."

The president continued with the biblical story.

"The angel told her that she was going to give birth to a baby boy, Jesus, who would be called the Son of the Most High," Trump continued. "Nine months later, Christ was born in the city of Bethlehem."

"The Son of God was born in a humble stable," added Trump.

Then he explained how this miraculous event changed history and everything that humans had previously understood.

"As Christians everywhere know, the birth of our Lord and Savior changed history forever," Trump said.

Trump on the importance of the birth of Christ

Trump said, "At Christmas we thank God and that God sent his only Son to die for us and offer eternal peace to all humanity."

President Trump watched the birth of Christ and its meaning remain fully with us to this day.

"More than two millennia after the birth of Jesus Christ, his teachings continue to inspire and elevate billions and billions of people around the world," Trump said.

"His divine words still fill our hearts with hope and faith," he added.

Redeem the world

Trump then reminded us of the teaching of Christ.

"And Christians everywhere are still striving to live by the timeless commandments Jesus gave his disciples: to love one another," Trump said.

“Especially in this holy time, our souls are filled with thanks and praise for Almighty God who sent Christ his Son to save the world,” said the president.

In conclusion, President Trump said, "Tonight we ask God to continue blessing this nation and we pray that He will grant every American family a Christmas season of joy, hope and peace."

In his first year in office, President Trump promised that we would "say Merry Christmas again".
