Every year on Martin Luther King Day, thousands of people pay tribute to the civil rights leader on their social media accounts. This includes many people in the Republican Party.
The always clueless Ivanka Trump released a tribute to MLK this morning. Just days after trying to eliminate the votes of millions of African Americans, Ted Cruz wrote: "More than ever, we will remember the power of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. remembers who urge all of us to "have the courage to face the uncertainties of the future" as we continue our step forward to the City of Freedom. "

On today's episode of The View, Sunny Hostin called these GOP members for their empty words. "We saw that there are people like Dr. King said so, "she remarked. "That they would much rather have white supremacy than this multiracial democracy that he wanted."
Hostin continued the segment by calling certain people:
“These are the same people who were like Melania Trump with this birth lie. Ted Cruz challenges the electoral college. Kayleigh McEnany, over and over with her propaganda. How dare you !? How dare you, Dr. To quote King on the occasion of his birthday when they empowered a racist president who caused this uprising and attack on our democracy? "
Check out a clip of the following section courtesy of ABC:
"On January 6th we see that white supremacy is very much alive and well," says @Sunny Hostin. "We have seen that there are people, like Dr. King said, that they would rather have white supremacy than the multiracial democracy he wants." Https://t.co/cVclFZQmjA pic.twitter.com/h20dk0VWNl
