A happy looking Dr. Anthony Fauci said he took no pleasure in contradicting Trump, but working with Biden was liberating.

Dr. Fauci was asked if he would like to return from his recent Trump banishment and work with Biden COVID.
Fauci replied, "Of course I don't want to go back on history, but it's clear there have been things that have been said about things like hydroxychloroquine and other things that were unpleasant because they weren't based on scientific facts. I can tell you that I take absolutely no pleasure in contradicting the president. It was really something that you didn't think you could actually say and it would have no effect. The idea that you could stand up here and talk about it what you know and what evidence – what the science is and it is. Let the science speak. It's a liberating feeling. "
Few people in America have had a more difficult job than Dr. Anthony Fauci. The nation's leading infectious disease expert grappled with a pandemic and an anti-science government tried to stifle reality for political gain.
President Biden has said it will be months before the pandemic occurs, but now that experts like Dr. Fauci does not fight COVID with one arm behind his back should progress be made by leaps and bounds.
Fauci seemed barely able to contain his delight over the fact that science, not a president's political desires, will now be the deciding factor in the national coronavirus response.
Dr. Fauci has been freed, and this is great news for America in the war on the virus.
