McCain said on Monday on The View episode: "

“If you don't care about unity, then you should deal with politics because right now there is a vacuum to accommodate the four people – four out of ten Republicans who feel very disenfranchised, and when President Biden and Democrats do want a big tent party with some of these people, great, and if we're all just unfortunate and need to be reprogrammed like Katie Couric said then they can honestly go to hell because I don't have to be deprogrammed. "

"I just have a different perspective on how the government should be run," she added.

"I mean, it's really bizarre, isn't it, when you think about how AWOL got so many of these congressmen. But I also think some of them believe that their constituents are junking them 24/7 on the internet and that they subscribed to this big lie, ”Couric said to Maher.

"And the question is, how can we really almost deprogram these people who signed up for the Trump cult," she added.
