David Hogg, who became one of the nation's best-known gun control advocates after surviving the mass shootings in Parkland, Florida in 2018, urged Republicans to approve Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) After a video posted by Greene Denouncing the conspiracy theorist who molested him went viral.
"My message to Kevin McCarthy is take your committee duties away," Hogg told Alisyn Camerota on CNN's New Day. "In addition, do not support her if she runs for re-election and tries to get her to the area code."
"If you say this is not your party, actually give them a call and hold them accountable," Hogg added. "Republicans always pretend they are the Party of Decency, but would the Party of Decency and Respect ask whether or not school shootings took place? Would they pester the survivors of those shootings for disagreeing I don't think so. And I think if Kevin McCarthy doesn't believe that either, he really has to get up and do something about this congressman. "
Greene's video went viral after it was shared by Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter was killed in the shooting.
"Call him a coward for ignoring your madness," Guttenberg instructed Greene. “I will answer all of your questions personally. Get ready to resume. "

“Why do you use children as a barrier? Don't you know how to defend your stance? I am an American citizen. I am a gun owner. I have a concealed carry permit, I carry a gun for protection. And you are using your lobby and the money behind it and the children to try to take away my rights under the second amendment. You have nothing to say for yourself? Can't defend your stance? "Greene asks Hogg on the video even though he ignores her.

"I absolutely remember it," Parkland shootout survivor David Hogg said of GOP MP Marjorie Taylor Greene, who confronted him ahead of her election. "As I've been told, it's better not to respond to bullies and just walk away." https://t.co/oCz4TNhi7h pic.twitter.com/kt8eLmEUoZ

Greene is a supporter of QAnon, the conspiracy theory that claims that former President Donald Trump and his administration are victimized by a cabal of satan-worshiping Democrats who deal with young children. Demand to expel her from Congress has increased since she voted against confirming President Joe Biden's election victory, owing to the former president's lies about electoral fraud.
