Senator Josh Hawley went on Fox News this week to tell former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee that it was a "total lie" for Democrats to say he tried to overthrow the presidential election.
Hawley blows up Democrats
"In a way, people said you wanted to overturn the election," Huckabee told him. “If you listened carefully, you would know that you, Senator Cruz and others, were not trying to overthrow an election but were simply looking into the election to see if everything was on the rise. Why can't a simple message come out more clearly? "
"Because I think the liberal media, the left-wing mob, didn't want it out," Hawley replied. “You now know that you are telling lies. When they say Ted Cruz, me and the Republicans in this House wanted to overthrow an election, they know it's a lie, a total lie. We asked for a congressional investigation. "

“I asked for reform. I said I wanted to force a debate on electoral integrity because we need reforms, ”he added. “For example, we have to prohibit third parties from harvesting ballot papers. I said I wanted to force a debate on the integrity of the elections in the future. "

"I'm not ready to give in to the liberal, woken up mob."

Hawley's wife files a complaint
It did so after Hawley's wife filed a complaint against the organizer of a protest outside her home, according to The Hill. Erin Hawley filed the complaint against Patrick Young, an activist and part of the ShutDownDC group that organized the massive protest.
She claimed she was "scared" when the protesters were outside and said they knocked on the door and yelled.
"When a subpoena is issued, it is outrageous that a rich and powerful person – a United States senator – can go to their judge for a subpoena to molest an ordinary person," Young responded.
