Donald Trump says he has "little question" Tiger Woods will play golf once more: "He can be again"

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump said he believed golf legend Tiger Woods would play again even after his serious car accident.

Woods was involved in a serious accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday in which only his vehicle was involved. It is reported that he has severe injuries to both legs and needs surgery.

Trump On Woods: "He's a Wonderful Person"

But noted golf enthusiast Donald Trump said Fox News host Katie Pavlich Tiger would jump back.

Pavlich noted that Trump had previously presented Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

"In that speech you also talked about how he's a comeback kid and how he overcame a number of obstacles," said Pavlich. "Maybe we'll see him on the golf course afterwards."

Trump replied, "I hope he has overcome a lot, but he had an incredible life and he will continue to live an incredible life."

"But now he's going to recover from it and it's pretty bad for the legs, I see," Trump said. "And you know he'll find a way."

Trump added. “But he's a wonderful person. Apart from everything else, he's a wonderful person. "

Woods was the fourth golfer to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom

Pavlich asked Trump about their friendship, including playing golf together.

"I've known him for a long time and he was just always great to me and I always felt the same about him, I just always liked him. You know?" Said Trump.

"We had good chemistry and always have and I'm just you know I'm a fan of his and as a golfer he's just amazing," added Trump.

Pavlich noted, "He was the fourth golfer to receive the Medal of Freedom."

Trump praised Woods: “He's a very respectable person. He is so respected by the other players that they adore him. "

Trump: "He will be back"

Trump said Woods would be back.

"And he will be back. I have no doubt about that," said Trump. "He will be back."

"He's definitely made a comeback before," agreed Pavlich.

Just last year Woods made an unlikely comeback on the Pro Tour. After four back surgeries and a series of scandals, the golf legend won his fifth Masters in 2019.

Pavlich asked Trump if he had any special message for Woods as he hoped he was recovering.

"All I would say is get better and get out because we all miss him," Trump replied.
