Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) went on Fox News Friday night to meet infectious disease expert Dr. Beat up Anthony Fauci and blew up the tactic he used in the name of mitigating the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Paul went so far as to tell host Laura Ingraham that he considered Fauci "some kind of Greek philosopher".
Paul blows up Fauci
"Senator, you were one of the few lawmakers who directly exclaimed Dr. Fauci lies," said Ingraham. “Are people afraid to question him? And if so, why? "
"Well, it's science – and people are scared of scientists and he's on a pedestal," Paul replied. “But you have to remember that his lies are noble lies, Laura. He's not telling you this because he's a mean man. "
"He's telling you this because he feels sorry for you, because you don't understand, and Americans aren't smart enough to make an informed decision," he continued. “So he's making himself some kind of Greek philosopher. He's telling you these noble lies. "

"So he told you first that not all masks work. But he told you that because he wanted to protect the N-95 masks that actually work in a healthcare environment," Paul added.
“But later, he said, all masks will work. But that's also a lie, because actually only the N-95 masks work. It's a compilation of lies, ”he said. "But they're all done to protect you because he doesn't think you're smart enough to make any of those decisions yourself."

On the effectiveness of lockdowns and other COVID-19 restrictions, Paul said he hoped the issue would be investigated "in an objective manner".
"You can take a look at the date each mandate was passed and when it was locked," Paul said.
"You can look at the incidence of the disease and you find it was proportional. The more mandates we have, the more diseases we have," he added. "The mandates did not cause the disease, but there is no evidence that the mandate slowed the disease at all."
