Gaetz and Greene take "America First" Trumpism onto the streets and shout "RINOs"

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene are on their way. The two outspoken pro-Trump members of Congress are planning a tour of the nation called "America First".

The tour begins May 7th in the popular Florida retirement community, The Villages.

For anyone running for Sunshine State Office or National Office, The Villages is a mandatory stop. The hope is that the tour will create some support and excitement for the tea party at the grassroots level.

The idea behind "America First"

According to a press release, the idea behind the America First rallies is to promote the ideas that brought Donald Trump to the presidency.

Of the rallies, Gaetz said:

“Some of the issues that motivate us include ending America's Eternal Wars, setting the line that Joe Biden broke on the first day, prioritizing Americans who are not illegal migrants, restructuring industries to serve overseas Opponents have been sold, ensuring real electoral integrity and taking on the threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party. "

"These issues are bigger than any election and we stand ready to take back our party and our country."

Greene recently led a rally that was attended by around 300 people in Florida. Speaking about the 2020 presidential election, she said, "No matter how upset you are about the presidential election and what you see on the news. It's not over. You want to know why? I'm there. And guess what else? That is bigger. You are all here. "

It is now illegal to be an America First Conservative.

They are not going to put this in writing just yet, but make no mistake they are coming for all of us.

Call up RINOS

Another goal of the America First rallies is to not only keep Trump supporters optimistic, but also to call on the squishy Republicans. those considered by conservatives to be the establishment are allies of the GOP.

Of the so-called RINOs who could get a reputation at the rallies, one of them could very well be Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY). Cheney was a harsh critic of Trump, blaming him for the January 6 uprising at the Capitol.

Gaetz and Cheney had words in the past. After Cheney was censored for her vote to indict Trump over the violence in the Capitol, Gaetz traveled to Wyoming to join residents asking for her reprimand or impeachment for her vote.

Cheney's office shot back with a tweet that read, "Rep. Gaetz can leave his makeup bag at home. In Wyoming, men don't wear makeup."

Gaetz also spoke to Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). In February, Kinzinger announced that he would launch a PAC to take back the GOP from pro-Trump Republicans.

One of the target seats of the PAC was Gaetz. In a tweet, Gaetz replied: “Now he wants to target my America First policy and call me by name. My answer: Damn it, bring it. "

A good rule of thumb: if McConnell, Cheney, Romney, and the other establishment Rinos don't like someone, they're probably a good candidate

Gaetz and Greene are no strangers to the controversy

Both Gaetz and Greene are no strangers to political drama. Back in February, the Democrat-run House voted to remove Greene from her committee duties on comments she made prior to taking office.

At the end of March it became known that federal investigations were being initiated against Gaetz for an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl. The DOJ is investigating Gaetz for allegedly violating sex trafficking laws when he travels with the girl. Gaetz has denied all allegations and has not yet been charged with any criminal offense.

Gaetz and Greene both say that they will not be "canceled" and will not be silent.

The Tea Party was born during the Obama years. Could this be the resurgence some were looking for when choosing Joe Biden? It will be interesting to see how much dust is removed from their MAGA hats and practice their YMCA dance moves.
