Mika Brzezinski claims the Texas GOP is pushing for “large lies” with the electoral regulation – “might destabilize this nation” for years to return
Mika Brzezinski had a complete breakdown on the Friday morning episode of "Morning Joe" as she responded to the passage of a new state electoral law by Texan lawmakers to protect electoral integrity.
Brzezinski described the Republicans, who are still loyal to Donald Trump, as "pathetic", adding that the "big lie" promoted by the GOP "could destabilize this country for the administrations to come."
"[Republicans] support Elise Stefanik and force her to move away from her own core values that she publicly expressed years ago when Trump ran for the first time," said Brzezinski. "She made very strong statements about what he said to women about how he treated other countries that he thought were inappropriate."
"Elise Stefanik has spoken about the president not representing the core values of America, and now she is being used as a mouthpiece for this terrible message that Kevin McCarthy once carried from someone who could carry it," she added.

"Trust me – it's not Liz Cheney because she won't lie to the American people, and she won't support a cult leader and his incredible lie that could destabilize this country for the administrations to come," Brzezinski said. "If you heard Bob Gates on our show yesterday, you'd be very concerned about the years ahead and Trump's impact on our democracy."
"Is there a direct link between what is happening in Florida and Texas and what went down in Georgia with these electoral laws that could further destabilize our country on the foreign stage?" she closed.
Brzezinski claims Trump took GOP hostage
That comes days after Brzezinski accused Trump of "taking the GOP hostage" in response to a Wall Street Journal titled "Purging Liz Cheney".

"Joe, it just goes back to our lead story and how serious it is – what that judge said about the Trump presidency, about the Mueller report, that the president, with the help of the Attorney General, used the Mueller report to instigate hatred to stir up trouble and it all went until January 6th and, by the way, took the Republican Party hostage and they decide to stay there, ”she said.
