Tammy Duckworth says Republicans would reasonably defend Trump than defend our democracy.

Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) went on MSNBC this week saying that Republicans would "rather defend traitors and tell lies" than defend democracy because they sided with former President Donald Trump, which they did regarded as "truth".

Duckworth ends

"I'm not surprised that Republican leaders in both the House and Senate are trying to block the bipartisan commission to investigate what happened that day," she said. “I mean, it's bipartisan. The Republicans had participated. I hope you're listening to Officer Sicknick's mother. I really really do, but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. "

"This can be a personal problem," said anchor Nicolle Wallace. "I'm still surprised when Kevin McCarthy sent his husband to negotiate and got everything. McCarthy wanted equal representation."

“Both parties had to approve subpoenas. I admit I am surprised that Republicans have moved away from what the leadership has asked them to do, ”she added. "Why aren't you surprised?"

"Over and over again they chose to stand with Donald Trump and his lies," replied Duckworth. “Again and again, when the opportunity is given, and when it comes down to it, they fold and stand with Donald Trump. They have shown that they would rather vote for Donald Trump than the truth. "

“They would rather defend traitors and tell lies than defend our democracy. I wish I could say I was surprised, but they kept doing that, ”she continued. "When it comes down to it, vote for Donald Trump over our democracy."

I think he plans to run, but he hasn't fully committed that yet. But I definitely hope he does, because no president has done more of what he promised than President Trump. Best President We Ever Had: "

"Keep his word, do what he said, do what he was chosen to do," he continued. "That's the kind of individual we need in the White House, and that's the kind of individual our opponents respected because they knew he put America's interests first and was strong on the principles that matter . "
