Todd said to Fauci, “We know that Mississippi … has the lowest vaccination rate in the country. You are in Biloxi, Mississippi right now, Dr. Fauci. Would you wear a mask? "

Fauci replied, "I think that would be a good reason to do that."

Todd noted that despite the high vaccination rates in June, nearly 10,000 Americans still died from COVID-19.
The host wanted to know if these deaths were due to some people not being vaccinated.
Fauci replied, "If you look at the number of deaths, about 99.2% of them are unvaccinated, about 0.8% are vaccinated."
"No vaccine is perfect, but when you talk about the avoidability of hospitalizations and deaths, Chuck, it's really sad and tragic that most of them are preventable and preventable," added Fauci.
Fauci clashed with Republican Senator Rand Paul, going back to March to know whether or not vaccinated people should wear masks, with the Senator insisting they don't.
