North Carolina Lt. Gov. Robinson blasts CRT push: "America is still the place of dreams for everyone"

North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson (R) supports a nationwide initiative to roll back what is known as "Racial Indoctrination In Our Schools".

Robinson supports a group called 1776 Action, which is behind efforts to free not only the country's public schools from teaching critical racial theory, but candidates who are ready to sign an anti-CRT pledge.

In an open video released Wednesday, Robinson explained why he believes banning CRT teaching is a passion of his.

He used the story of his own upbringing to illustrate why the fight against CRT is such an important issue for him.

We are very excited to have @markrobinsonNC's support in our fight against anti-American indoctrination in our K-12 classrooms. We hope you sign the 1776 Citizens' Promise and join us today:

There was a lot of family fighting

In the video, Robinson talked about his family's struggles growing up. As the ninth child in ten, he said the family was poor. His father was an alcoholic and died when Robinson was just 12 years old.

His mother was trained in fifth grade, but as Robinson said, "My mother did the job of raising us and she did very well."

Robinson continued, “The reason is because she had a great belief in God and knew she lived in the greatest nation on earth – and that she and her children had all options, and she told us. For this reason, because she brought us these things, I am now living my dream. "

He added, “America is still the place of dreams for everyone. It is still the greatest nation on earth. We want to teach our children that. We want to make sure our children understand the greatness of this nation, they are its founders. "Understand the greatness of the documents and those who founded the nation."

Big momentum. Many Thanks.

A rising star in the Republican Party?

Conservatives can expect to hear a lot more from and about Mark Robinson. He is an Army veteran, former small business owner, and former Greensboro City Councilor.

In 2020 he became North Carolina's first black lieutenant governor.

He recently brought down the house with a fiery speech at a local celebration on July 4th calling on Conservatives and Republicans that "this is not the time for the weak" and take the fight to the left because they don't give in.

In March Robinson presented the initiative “Fairness and Accountability in the Classroom for Teachers and Students”. The purpose of the FACTS Task Force is to hold North Carolina education professionals accountable for what goes on in public schools.

The task force encourages people to provide examples that they believe represent discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, ethnicity, belief, or political belief.

Also any unequal or inconsistent enforcement of rules and discipline, students exposed to political indoctrination or ideology through class work, teacher comments, or a hostile classroom environment.

In his Independence Day speech, Robinson said bluntly, "This is not a fight between Republicans and Democrats, but a fight between people who love this country and people who despise it, it is a fight between capitalism and socialism."

What is 1776 Action?

1776 Action was inspired by former President Donald Trump's 1776 commission. The commission was designed to promote "truth and patriotic education" in the country's public schools and counter the New York Times 1619 project, which claims that America was founded on slavery and discrimination.

1776 Action was particularly active in places like Loudon County, Virginia, where heated school board meetings were held where parents resisted teaching from CRT.

President Joe Biden canceled the 1776 commission on his first day in office, and the commission's report was removed from the White House website.
