Joy Behar tears up Rand Paul as a "third-party hack" intended to "thank" Fauci instead of attacking him

In the episode of the ABC talk show "The View" on Wednesday morning, co-host Joy Behar hurried to meet her beloved Dr. Defend Anthony Fauci after being attacked by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) the previous day.

Discussing the fiery exchange between the two men that took place on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Behar quickly praised Fauci for his past experience with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) fighting other diseases.

Behar lets go of Paul

Behar even went so far as to say that instead of attacking Fauci, Paul should thank him for allegedly preventing further COVID-19 deaths.

"DR. Fauci … has run the NIH for 36 years, okay?" Behar falsely claimed. In reality, according to Fox News, Fauci only runs the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), one of the 27 institutes that make up the NIH consists.

Still, Behar went on screaming uninhibited.

"He helped us through HIV, SARS, avian flu, swine flu, Zika and Ebola, okay?" She added. "Rand Paul is a third-rate hacker who got Covid by the way, was lucky enough to be alive, and then refused to take the vaccine afterward."

"If someone is responsible for all of the deaths that have occurred since Covid began, it is more these lying party hacks like Rand Paul that demonized masks and then vaccines," Behar said.

"He should thank Fauci instead of accusing him of murder," she concluded. "My God … that's what people see on TV, talking to the most brilliant scientist … who has basically helped us for 36 years under four or five presidents."

Paul and Fauci's fiery exchange

This came after Paul and Fauci made headlines with their exchange the day before. In their back and forth, Paul Fauci accused of lying to Congress in order to "cover up responsibility for funding the laboratory" that may have leaked the coronavirus.

When asked if he would deny these claims, Fauci claimed he had no idea what Paul was talking about.

Also on Wednesday, Paul said he would send a letter to the Justice Department demanding a criminal investigation into Fauci for allegedly lying to Congress "to cover his tracks and cover up his connection with the Wuhan Laboratory" .

It will certainly be interesting to see how it all turns out.
