Cruz blocks Democrats after trying to sneak into the election overhaul package in the overnight budget vote

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blocked an attempt by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in the middle of the night / early Wednesday morning to pass a revised version of the For The People Act.

Schumer tried to sneak through the characteristic Democratic Party law, which essentially amounts to a federal takeover of the US elections.

The legislation is also in return for combating recent moves by Republican-led states to enact revised voting and electoral laws. The Democrats have called these new laws "restrictions" and were unable to pass the law due to filibusters from the GOP Senate.

The Republicans had successfully enforced the law in June and received additional help from Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), who spoke out against some parts of the bill.

Schumer's attempt to get the bill through took the form of "unanimous approval," requiring only one senator to appeal to end the vote on a bill.

Dems pass the pork-filled spending resolution law, then try the "reform" option

After nearly fifteen hours of voting on various amendments and with no Republican votes, the Senate passed the massive $ 3.5 trillion budget resolution. The bill, which was passed 50-49 along the party lines, includes most of the Liberal Democrats' wish list items, including childcare, paid vacation, education, health care and climate initiatives.

Around 4 a.m., after a marathon meeting to vote on amendments and then pass the budget decision, Schumer immediately began attempting to pass the revised For The People Act.

Schumer quickly received his only objection as a Senator in Senator Cruz, who said, “This bill would constitute an election takeover by the federal government. It would mean a massive takeover by the Democrats. "

Schumer replied, "We have come to a point in this chamber where Republicans appear to oppose any measure, no matter how sensible, to protect the right to vote and strengthen our democracy."

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said of the Democrats' stunt: "Here at night they also want to start tearing up the basic rules of our democracy and, of course, writing new ones on a purely partisan basis."

Do we really want the federal government to hold our elections?

Since the Democrats have not passed their so-called "For the People Act", they are trying to introduce a similar law called HR 4.

That does NOT make it easy to vote, hard to cheat! Https: //

But not so fast.

While McConnell was busy blaming the Democrats for smuggling laws into Senate sessions overnight, McConnell and 19 other Republicans had no problem sided with the Democrats and a $ 1.2 trillion infrastructure package -Dollar goodbye, of which only 23% is actually infrastructure.

The "McConnell Republicans," as they were called by Conservative host Mark Levin, are the usual suspects. Names that top the list include Collins, Murkowski, McConnell, Romney, and many others.

A press release from Senator John Kennedy's (R-LA) office lists some troubling facts about the law. Kennedy claims the Senators were told it would be paid, but it would add $ 256 billion to the deficit.

Kennedy also claims that while Republicans were told the bill would not increase taxes, it would specifically increase taxes on Louisiana's industries. Kennedy called the bill an "inflation bomb".

Cruz blocks foreign policy candidates

Senator Cruz not only rained down Democrats' dreams of controlling the elections, but blocked several State Department candidates to put pressure on Joe Biden over Russia's Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee attempted to get confirmation of about 30 nominations, again with unanimous approval throughout the Senate night, but Cruz blocked them all.

Cruz's blockade of nominations is protesting the Biden government's lifting of sanctions on the pipeline last month.

Cruz stated on Wednesday morning, "I have made it clear to every State Department official and candidate from the State Department that I will detain these candidates unless and until the Biden government obey the law and stop this pipeline and impose the sanctions."

Senator Ted Cruz: Reports of completion of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline are "a disaster for the US and our allies"

"We always knew that Biden was in bed with Putin, now they're spooning."
