Biden asks foreign countries to increase oil production after Keystone pipeline kills, gas prices skyrocket
With gas prices soaring along with rare inflation, the Biden government has asked OPEC countries to increase oil production.
On Wednesday, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan released a statement saying that current OPEC production is insufficient.
Sullivan said, “Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, can jeopardize the ongoing global recovery. The price of crude oil was higher than at the end of 2019, before the pandemic broke out. "
He continued, “Although OPEC + recently agreed to production increases, those increases will not fully offset the previous production cuts that OPEC + imposed during the pandemic well into 2022. At a critical moment in global recovery, this is simply not enough. "
One of President Biden's first acts was the closure of the Keystone XL oil pipeline project, and inflation in some sectors has reached levels not seen in decades.
How much more anti-American can the Biden policy get – foreign countries are calling for US oil and gas production to be reduced. Dictatorships (OPEC) to increase oil and gas production, demolition of the American pipeline, approval of the Russian pipeline so that Putin can dominate Europe-MORE

Dependence on OPEC
During a speech at the White House on Wednesday, Biden said he wanted to make sure Americans don't pay higher prices at the gas pump.
“Lately we've seen the price oil companies pay for a barrel of oil begin to fall, but gasoline prices for more Americans haven't come down. That's not what you'd expect in a competitive market. I want to make sure that nothing stands in the way of falling oil prices, which lead to lower prices for consumers. "

Biden also said he asked the Federal Trade Commission to investigate possible "illegal activity" that would raise prices, while Biden claims the cost of a barrel of oil is going down – in other words, some kind of price gouging or conspiracy between oil Companies or refineries.
President Biden says he has directed senior economic officials "to use every tool available to monitor the US gasoline market" and "combat any illegal behavior" that could contribute to the rise in gas prices https://t.co/Nj065CIsxp pic. twitter.com/0DkfNQMMQr

The real reason for lowering gas prices
Currently, the national average for a gallon of gas is $ 3.18, one dollar more than last year.
The Biden government wants to attribute the high gas prices to the pandemic, but that is not the case. In 2018, during the Trump administration, America went energy independent and a net oil exporter for the first time in 75 years.
In 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, including Joe Biden, called for an end to fracking and a fossil fuel ban.
On Joe Biden's first day in office, one of his first acts as president was to cancel the Keystone pipeline. The pipeline would have transported 800,000 barrels of oil a day across the continent from Alberta, Canada to the Gulf Coast, and with the stroke of a pen Biden eliminated over 1,000 jobs, many of them union jobs.
But as early as May, Biden had waived sanctions against the Russian company that is building the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany. The reason given was that "it's almost completely done".
The Biden government's messages on fossil fuels seem mixed at best.
Gasoline prices haven't been this high since 2014 – the last time Joe Biden was at the White House. Biden blames OPEC and gasoline producers when he really should look in the mirror to find the problem.

For better or for worse the New Green Deal crowd
To keep the Democrats in line, Joe Biden must bow to the far left progressives, the ones who are driving the new Green Deal agenda. The Biden administration has stated that it aims to "decarbonise" the US economy by 2050.
In addition to terminating the Keystone pipeline, Biden has also issued moratoria on new state oil and gas leases to appease environmentalists and climate activists.
How does this fit in with the Middle Eastern oil oligarchs begging to increase oil production?
Not only are energy prices rising, which the Biden administration would like to attribute to the pandemic. Americans not only experience pain at the gas pump, but also pain in the supermarket. The prices are up by 0.7% compared to July and 3.4% compared to the same time last year.
Producer prices rose a staggering 7.8% in July – the highest increase on record. Headline inflation – the so-called consumer price index – was 5.4% for the second month in a row.
While Joe Biden uses words like “temporary” and “temporary” to describe inflation, Texas Senator John Cornyn (R) has confronted Biden over twisted priorities: “It's pretty simple: when the president suddenly comes across rising gas prices is concerned, he needs to "stop destroying our own energy production here on American soil."
