Donald Trump, credibly accused of sexual misconduct by 26 different women, says it is time for "loser" Andrew Cuomo to step down
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Donald Trump boiled over the positive press Andrew Cuomo received. While Trump's briefings were a daily embarrassment, many Americans viewed Cuomo's briefings as a comfortable demonstration of leadership.
At the same time, Cuomo behaved appallingly towards employees and colleagues, a recent investigation revealed. The democratic leadership up to Joe Biden called on the governor of New York to resign. And he did that earlier this week.
The GOP essentially ignored the myriad of allegations of sexual inappropriateness made against Trump. They did the same with Madison Cawthorn, Matt Gaetz, and Brett Kavanaugh. Even so, Trump felt entitled to weigh up the Cuomo situation.
The former president wrote in an email to supporters: "Friend, Andrew Cuomo is in real trouble – he handled COVID terribly and he DESTROYED New York – and it's time he step back. To tell the truth, this guy is a TOTAL LOSER and New York and the whole country are better off without him. "
Trump went on “First of all, I want you to know directly from me that I have never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances. I am 63 years old. I've spent my entire adult life in public. I'm just not, and I've never been. "
Trump may have gotten away with his actions so far, but the game isn't over for him. New York State recently ruled that the Summer Zervos case against Trump can continue.
