Left-wing human rights campaign president ousted for helping Cuomo discredit sexual harassment prosecutors

Left-wing human rights campaign president Alphonso David is out after it became known that he is working to help former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo respond to allegations of sexual harassment that has sunk his governorship.

The human rights campaign describes itself as “envisioning a world where every member of the LGBTQ + family is free to live their truth without fear and with equality before the law”.

The group spent nearly $ 50 million in 2019.

The head of @HRC – the Democratic Party's lavishly funded propaganda arm masquerading as an LGBT advocate group – was caught helping ex-government. Cuomo passes on his prosecutor's personal files to the media and now presents himself as a victim and rejects internal calls for resignation.

Several investigations

The group's board of directors voted to replace David "with immediate effect," alleging that David had breached his contract.

Morgan Cox and Jodie Patterson, co-chairs of the board of directors, said in a statement:

“This is a painful moment in our movement. While the Board's decision is not the outcome we ever envisioned or hoped for regarding Mr. David's tenure at HRC, his actions have placed us in an untenable position by violating HRC's core values, guidelines and mission to have."

Alphonso David's association with Andrew Cuomo led to several investigations. The HRC hired an independent law firm to investigate David following New York Attorney General Letitia James' report on Cuomo.

The report implied David helping Cuomo discredit his accusers for sexual harassment.

But David doesn't go quietly.

In a statement, David said the HRC "should expect a legal challenge". He also claims that the company "wrongly" issued the resignation "to end my struggle for the integrity of the review process."

David continued, “Despite the lack of intelligence, the CEOs have now asked me to consider resigning, not because of misconduct but because they believe the incident will be a 'distraction' for them Organization was. "

Conflict of interest

The crux of the matter is the fact that Alphonso David released the confidential personal file of one of Cuomo's accusers to the media in order to discredit it.

Why the president of a gay rights organization should help Cuomo? David had previously worked as Cuomo's chief counsel and worked in his cabinet for several years.

President of the teachers' union that defends @HRC Executive Director @AlphonsoDavid – of course – even after he was caught helping ex-government. Cuomo releases personnel files to the media in order to slander one of his accusers. Do you see who these people are ??? https: //

Help the disgraced governor

Alphonso David wasn't the only one helping a disgraced Governor Cuomo potentially discredit women who made allegations of sexual harassment.

In early August, Melissa DeRosa, a senior Cuomo advisor, resigned after being named in an investigation by Attorney General James for allegedly "leading retaliation" against one of the women who made allegations against Cuomo.

DeRosa also admitted to releasing personal files of the first prosecutor, former associate Lindsey Boylan, to the media.

Joni Madison, Chief Operating Officer of the human rights campaign, will become the organization's interim president with immediate effect.

Think about how much @AlphonsoDavid could have stood out as a leader if he had taken responsibility.

He was just telling the truth about our boss.

Would have honored where he failed in an abusive and frightening environment for all.

In all honesty, I would forgive him and move on.
