Multiple media outlets report that the Minnesota Freedom Fund admitted it released Howard from prison in August in a statement they later deleted.
“We are aware of reports of the tragic and fatal shootings in Minneapolis earlier this week, allegedly involving George Howard, a person previously bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund. MFF believes that any person arrested by law enforcement agencies is innocent until proven guilty of resources like anyone else. "
Also deleted was the following statement: "Under new leadership, MFF has made changes to its policies and procedures and we will continue to evaluate these to ensure we are responsive to the safety and needs of our community."
Founded in 2016, the nonprofit group raked in massive profits of roughly $ 35 million in the past year following the death of George Floyd and the promotion of personalities like Harris.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund rose to prominence after the death of George Floyd in May last year.
When the group was founded, the main focus was on rescuing local inmates with low bail amounts.
Others rescued by MFF were violent criminals
George Howard isn't the first Minnesota Freedom Fund customer to be rescued and to commit further violent crimes.
In February of that year, Thomas Moseley, who had been rescued twice by MFF, was charged with three crimes while being investigated on a possible gun crime. He had previously been arrested for damaging a police station and had taken part in a riot with a knife.
The Minnesota Freedom Fund had also rescued several men charged with sex crimes. One, a father accused of molesting his 15 year old daughter and another man accused of sexually abusing his 16 year old niece.
